About Us
A bit about the Whitecroft & Meadowcroft Residents Association history

Our Story
The Residents Association was founded under the name Whitecroft Residents Association in 1972. A Social Committee was formed about 3 years later which was very successful. Among the most popular events was the Firework Party which was held for about 3 years running in the field adjoining the estate and included a sausage and chips supper which was collected from, as it was then, Spindlers Fish & Chip shop.
Also the Queen’s Silver Jubilee celebration, an all day event, which included games in the field for the children, tea and a goody bag containing Silver Jubilee souvenirs. This was followed by a disco in the evening for the adults.
In 2006 we amalgamated with Meadowcroft Residents Association and became known as Whitecroft & Meadowcroft Residents Association. Together with other local residents associations we successfully fought off an application to build on the field and the right to walk in the field using designated footpaths.
